Interested in Working in Resilient Technology ? Come and join us !

12 09 2011

Hot on the heels of the money from EPSRC for the new project, we have been offered the opportunity for two more side projects. The first is to increase the impact of our research, the second is to offer interested companies the opportunity to come and work alongside us in our labs and find out how our technology can benefit them.

The first project will be targeting the development of simple modules for instrumentation in hostile environments. Having demonstrated things from ring oscillators to high gain amplifiers, the plan is to generate a substantial number of modules and then to disseminate these to interested parties. Later generations would be specifically targeted to applications, so if you can think of something yo9u would like us to support, let us know, we are always looking for another challenge. Linked to this is the opportunity for people to work here for short periods (typically a couple of weeks) to see how our technology can make a difference to you. We can pay expenses for people visiting us (train fares, hotel bills, etc), so come along and join in! We will be hosting a technology show case day sometime in the autumn to advertise this, so here is an advanced opportunity to beat the rush.

If you are interested in either of these opportunities, then contact me by email at alton.horsfall@ncl.ac.uk
